latest news about NEMCA and the local community

2014 has been another busy and eventful year here at the centre.

Much of our time has been dedicated to working with the Youth Partnership in Mitcham as part of the council's changes to the way youth services are delivered in the borough. As Part of the development fund we were able to secure funding this summer to take 10 young people from our youth club to 'snow camp'. This was an amazing experience for our youngsters and we hope to be able to provide this experience again for another group of children in the near future.

We will also be working with Fulham Football Club in the New Year to provide some Football coaching and holding some Zumba Easter Classes for 11-18 yr olds.

Our playgroup 'Jollytime' is currently full and we are holding a waiting list for Easter starters.
We were awarded a 'Big Lottery fund' which has enabled us to continue with our popular Senior Fitness class.

We have taken on a new staff menber who will be looking at ways in which we can improve the centre and provide more services.

Lastly, we finished off with our Annual Christmas Bazaar which is an important event in our fundraising calendar. It was a great success, very well attended, raising money for the centre and really bringing the community together.

We look forward to seeing you in 2015
