The North East Mitcham Community Association (NEMCA) is a vibrant hub for its diverse local community. It provides a warm welcome, and a range of projects/clubs for all ages to keep people engaged and active. This includes Yoga, Zumba, Irish and Children’s Dance classes, Toddler activity clubs, seniors’ fitness and lunch clubs. It also provides space for local meetings, children’s parties, religious groups and other charities like Mencap and Homestart.
Sadly, it has recently been heavily impacted financially by the loss of its 40-year-old playgroup that subsidised many of the clubs like the youth club, toddlers’ club and services for the seniors. Filling the vacuum this left is the current focus and any support will help the centre become financially viable once again and allow more support to be offered to those in need in the local community.
Lee aims to raise £5,000 for NEMCA but would appreciate any contribution.
